The Hacker News to Markdown Converter reads the public thread data and keeps the post and comment structure useful outside the website. It preserves readable reply text and the context that connects a reply to its parent. Use the thread link, not the linked article
Paste a news.ycombinator.com/item?id=… link and click Fetch. Markovo reads that discussion, shows its extracted word count and Credit estimate, and converts it after confirmation. If you want the article discussed by the thread, import its own URL separately. Linked sites have their own access and content boundaries. This keeps the scope of each conversion clear and avoids silently fetching a chain of related pages.
Check large or changing conversations
Thread exports are bounded to at most 50 reply nodes and may not contain every comment in a large discussion. Deleted and unavailable entries stay unavailable. Before quoting or summarizing a conversation, compare its structure and important passages with the original. Distinguish the post author from commenters and remember that votes, replies, and moderation can change after the snapshot was taken. Keep the source link with your notes for later review.
