A presentation communicates through both slide order and visual placement. Markovo preserves recoverable document content, then makes the boundary between extracted text and unrepresented visual meaning explicit.
Slides become source units
Titles, text boxes, speaker notes, simple tables, and supported raster images follow the deck's slide order. The source map helps a reviewer return to the slide when a passage, image, or table needs context.
Charts and layout need review
Spatial relationships, animations, transitions, master-theme styling, SmartArt, diagram connections, and chart semantics may not be fully represented in Markdown. A visible label near a shape does not always expose a reliable reading relationship.
Use a modern deck
The signed-in Beta route accepts .pptx. Legacy .ppt is not accepted. Keep the original deck whenever slide design, presenter timing, embedded media, or on-screen composition is part of the message.

Before indexing or publishing a deck, compare slide titles, section breaks, speaker notes, tables, image captions, and references with the original. For RAG, keep slide-level source units when an answer must point back to a specific presentation page. For editing, preserve the asset folder beside output.md. If a conclusion depends on a chart, diagram, animation, color legend, or spatial relationship, consult the PPTX instead of assuming the linear Markdown captures it. Quality warnings support review; they do not turn visual presentation semantics into verified text.
